 Operated by the BC Waterfowl Society, the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary is a self-supporting, non-profit organization located on 850 acres of managed habitat on Westham Island, just west of Ladner in Delta, BC.

The sanctuary provides a place to rest and feed for thousands of migratory birds, as well as a year-round habitat for other species. Visit the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary website for more information.

This card has the famous White Rock, The White Rock Beach pier, Mount Baker in WA, the Seattle skyline, the Space Needle, Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island, West Vancouver, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Bellevue Washington, Crescent Beach, and Boundary Bay. All the photos in the postcard were taken within a 2 hour – 200 km / 125 mile radius of White Rock Beach, BC. Ric Wallace really likes to take COOL photos.

If you are a business in White Rock /South Surrey, let us know and we will drop off a FREE card in person. Ric Wallace is planning on walking to just about every business in White Rock / South Surrey and deliver them in person — he has even bought a new pair of shoes for the task! He has put on over 3,000 km on his favorite shoes and dropped 68 pounds, in turn losing over 12 inches off his waist. The goal is to to drop another 12 pounds for a total of 80 pounds from this time last year.

Introducing “The Zone” — The White Rock Zone…

Here in the White Rock Zone, we think both inside and outside The Zone in order to produce a business directory like no other.

While White Rock is the central focus, the directory includes businesses throughout the BC lower mainland, on the island, and even venturing south into northwestern Washington State.

Why the range? With its desirable waterfront scenery and shops, White Rock is a popular destination for many in and around White Rock, including visitors from the island and Americans as well. Advertising businesses in those locales can bring their customers to WhiteRockZone.com only to find that there’s another world of shopping and entertainment for them to explore. Advertising businesses elsewhere in no way takes away from White Rock’s established shops, but instead brings a whole world of other shoppers in to browse.

In addition to being a business directory, WhiteRockZone.com offers tips to both Canadian and American travellers, as well as Hot Spots (coming soon) to visit. We offer free listings to charitable lotteries** and to any retailers of our unique White Rock Beach postcards. We are in the process of creating some online discount coupons or even a downloadable PDF coupon book — details to follow at a later date.

We were also the first here to tie a postcard to a website of White Rock that can give you the current temperature, a webcam view of the waterfront, links to border traffic information, and many other links of interest.
